A lof of us didn’t become filmmakers to run a business, and don’t have thousands of dollars to hire business experts to create these documents from scratch – so we created this bundle to help filmmakers avoid mistakes and get a hold on the business side of things.
At Muse, our goal is to help give filmmakers the tools they need to tell world-changing stories, because, dammit, we need more of them. We built this bundle to give you some essential documents that will help move your business ahead with minimum input, so you can focus on why you became a filmmaker in the first place.
These documents have taken us over a decade (and many costly mistakes) to perfect, so make sure you leverage them as much as possible to benefit from our years of learning.
This bundle has everything you need to track budgets, create business proposals, hire freelance talent and more!
This document is a proposal to share who you are, what you can bring to the project and how much your involvement in the project will cost. In this bundle we are including a proven creative estimate / pitch template that is ready to use in Canva. Just one click and a free Canva account, and you can start making tweaks this template to customize your own proposal. Simply adjusting to your brand colors, fonts, and logos will get you a strong pitch. Use our template copy and strategy pages to help finish out your proposal in record time. The download also includes a pdf overview of all slides and copy so you are also able to build this in any other platform you would like such as Keynote or Google slides.
This document establishes your working agreement with a client and the terms of the relationship. This is a template and you are responsible for reviewing and updating the details such as payment terms, timelines, and deliverables on a project-by-project basis, but the template will get you 90% of the way to having something remarkable you can send off to a client.
This document will lay the foundation for hiring freelancers to support your work. Whether you are looking to bring on a Producer or a PA, it is always a good idea to have a written agreement in place to ensure transparency with anyone you bring into a project.
We believe a budget template is the most critical document when building a business. This document will help you plan where to allocate expenses and estimate your costs. Our team has spent YEARS and thousands of dollars creating a budget template that is both comprehensive and straightforward to use.
This way, you can see how a sample project can come together and use it as a reference to build your budgets.
